A WEEKEND FULL OF FUN!!!

We had a very nice weekend, though it was very busy! Saturday the kids stayed at my Grandma's, because Steve and I went to a wedding and a reception. A friend of mine from high school got married and we were honored to be a part of their special day. It was one of the most beautiful weddings we have ever attended, not to mention probably the most fun...those people really know how to party! BIG CONGRATS to the new Mr. and Mrs. Berry :-) We were having so much fun that we did stay out later than we had planned on. We didn't get home until around midnight. We had the kids picked up by 8:00 yesterday (Sun.) next morning though. We always miss them so much when we are away from them, although a date night is great and much needed for Steve and I once in a while. Yesterday we had a 50th birthday party for Steve's step-dad, Kevin. It was a great time. Time spent with family and friends is always the best! It was a football theme, and yes I actually got Steve to wear a "sport team" t-shirt...YES, it was BEARS!!!  There were some people who wore Packers and Steelers (YUCK), but I won't mention any names, haha!!! Neither of the kids had afternoon naps and were tired and crabby, so we were the first ones to leave, but we had to get them out of there. Lilly and Luke were both in bed by 7:30pm and Lilly slept til 7:30 this morning...MUCH needed rest! Luke is one of those kids who, when he gets overly tired, will fall asleep fast, but then is up about every 2 hours. So, yes, I had a very long night and I am tired, so it will be to bed early for me tonight!  I am glad that we were able to have such a fun weekend though!
