We have been so busy the last 2 days...2 parties Saturday and 1 party yesterday! The days were kind of long, but we had a wonderful weekend!!! We LOVE spending time with our families! It seems like either there is nothing to do, or so many things to do that we have trouble making it every place we've been invited to go. We started out Saturday with a surprise party for Steve's brother Paul...yes he was surprised! His fiance put together a very nice party with a nice turnout (although it was a Packers theme...yuck...haha, just kidding)! The kids adored the "bounce-house", Aunt Breck definately helped entertain the babies (thank you!). We then had to rush out of there to Uncle Tim and Aunt Cathy's house for a fish fry. The food was great and the kids had fun helping Uncle Tim feed his fish! They have a gorgeous pond that they have spent countless hours taking care of (as they do every year). Tim loves his fish; they come to the surface to be hand fed...it's actually very cute! Lilly was fascinated by it all! She kept inching closer and closer to the edge, I figured she'd be the one to fall in, but thankfully not this time! We got them home and into bed because we knew the next day (Sun.) would be a very busy day as well. So yesterday we headed out to Steve's Dad's house for another party! We had a wonderful time there as well! They really know how to party!!! Steve's 2 sister's live out of state and they were there as well. It's always great to see them! We wish they lived closer...we don't get to seem them as much as we'd like! It was a fantastic visit and couldn't believe when we got in the car to leave that we had been there for 8, yes, 8 hours! The time flew by so quickly! They had great food, bean bag games, the kids went on a walk and got to see/pet all kinds of farm animals (Lilly was in her glory there), a soccer game, baseball game (Lilly played with the big boys, and didn't do too bad I might add), then one of Lilly's favorite things was making "pie irons" in the bonfire! That was new to me as well. They had all kinds of "fillings"...people were making pizza filled ones, cheese ones, and fruit filled ones...of course Lilly had to have a cherry one and she loved it! All in all we had a great weekend and are thankful for being able to make these awesome memories and give our children these great experiences! We are also thankful to have this extra day of REST! HAPPY LABOR DAY TO ALL!!!
