CONFESSIONS ON A MONDAY

I'm joining my friend Angela on a post to confess a little about the weekend.

This weekend was long...pleasant (for the most part) but LONG!

Friday was my birthday, so of course I took that as a "it's my bday and I'm not doing anything day"!  BAD IDEA!!!  With 2 kids, who can do that?  At least not me!  I had to take Bella to the vet for another $100 visit of tests and more medication...happy bday to me!  Feeling a little guilty, I did do 2 loads of laundry.  When Steve got home, he took me out to dinner.  I think he was a little disappointed beause he (I think) was looking forward to a fancy meal.  Well, I didn't feel like dressing up and spending a small fortune on a meal!  He still got a steak, but he doesn't like them very rare...well, he said when we left that he felt the urge to Moo ha!  My hubs is such a funny man!

Saturday we had to take the pool down!  Although I'm not too disappointed because the whole thing made me nervous with having small kids.  The Hubby Someone put a brick next to the liner to level it, even though I told him mentioned that it might rub a hole in the it.  Well, "something" rubbed a hole in the liner and it drained!  We also had to get...groceries, blah, blah, blah!  Steve had the weekend off so he said he was going to let roots grow out of his backside and plant it...again, funny man!

Sunday I spent the WHOLE morning cleaning!  I know, I know...I'm a little OCD.  I try to work on that, but I think I'm getting worse?  Steve actually called me OCD for the very first time Sunday.  Well, I didn't take offense, I'm actually kind of flattered!  I guess it could be worse, and I could be lazy and not care if the house is a dirty mess?  I like things a certain way, and YES, it takes time!  He really isn't ever home when I clean, so he doesn't know how I do things.  He was a little amazed that I actually pick up the rugs and dining room chairs to scrub the floors!  I guess cleaning all the picture frames was a surprise too?  Maybe he thought the cleaning fairy kept the house clean?  I'm sooo glad he got to be a witness as to why somedays I'm lucky to get a shower by the time he comes home...and if that's all I get done, I can be happy with that.  Somedays these kids keep me running so much it's amazing!  He also had some of both of our families over for some pizza and cake to celebrate my birthday.  It's always a lot of work, but I love seeing everyone!

I also have to give a little "love" to Steve's brother and sister-in-law who told us that they are expecting their 3rd baby this winter!  YAY, big congrats again to them.  We are so excited to be an aunt and uncle again!!!
