STORY TIME

I've been trying to think of some things to beat the heat a little (it's awful!).  Our local book store has a toddler story time once a month on Saturday mornings, so Lilly and I headed there!  I thought it would be something nice to do, just her and I!  It was for kids 3+, since Luke doesn't meet that requirement, he got to spend a little time with Grandma (which they both really enjoy)!

This time the theme was "Creepy Crawly Critters".  One of the local pet stores brought some animals for them to learn about, and they even got to pet most of them!  Then they got some stories read to them, and a little snack.

A mama rat and her babies.  Lilly thought they were so cute!

I thought they were pretty creepy!

She was a little hesitant, but she did touch the snake!

then we went to lunch...

She had to call Daddy and tell him about her fun morning.

Of course her fun day wouldn't be complete w/out her favorite meal...
