CELEBRATING THE 4TH OF JULY

Hello all!  Hope you remember me?  I've kind of fallen off of the "blogging bandwagon".  My new job is keeping me very busy, but I love it and it's going very well!  I'm now trying this new balancing act of trying to be a full time mama and an employee as well!  The transition is "going", it's just taking a bit of time to adjust.  I now have to clean, do laundry and other chores/errands before and after work.  The hardest thing is probably getting a dinner ready (in the fridge) so all Steve has to do is put it in the oven?  Not everything I'm finding can be left all day, so if any of you have any good recipes (casserole's etc) that I can make up ahead of time, I'd LOVE to have them!

Our 4th of July weekend has been nice.  Steve actually had 2 days off in a row, which doesn't happen very often, so we've soaked that up.  We played outside with the kids, then him and I actually laid down and slept for 2 hours yesterday afternoon while the kids did...that was sooo nice!  We got up and went to a cookout with family, which is always a nice time.  Then we brought the kids home, bathed and put in jammies, so we could walk downtown to see the fireworks.  I wasn't sure how Luke would do because he is a fan of his 8:00 bedtime, but I guess since it was a new adventure, it was okay, because he did great!  The kids really enjoyed them...which is all that matters!  The whole way home Luke was clapping his hands and saying "boom boom"...that was too cute!

Lighting some "snakes"

Waiting for the fireworks to start...Daddy HAD
to hit the ice cream truck!

Pretty interesting...

ice cream and drinks makes everything fun!
