11 MONTHS

WOW!  Can you believe it?  I know I certaintly can't!  Today our baby boy is 11 months old.  That just does not seem possible to me!  Where has the time gone?  A year ago I was over 40 pounds heavier (yay, I finally lost it all)!  I definately had the unmistakable and distinct waddle of a VERY pregnant Mama!  It sounds weird, but I miss that sometimes.  Not so much the being big part, but just the whole amazing experience of being pregnant.  It's something only one who was pregnant can imagine, it really is just too hard to put into words!  Both of my pregnancies were 'hard' in the regard that I was on bedrest because both of my babies wanted to come into this world early, but I never had any sickness.  I think part of me misses it, because it seems like I couldn't really enjoy the last trimester of either of my pregnancies, being that I was stuck in the house, not able to do the things I wanted to do.  Thankfully, I am a pretty organized person and both times all clothes were washed and put away, and the rooms were all done!  I will admit that I had quite a bit of anxiety at this time last year.  It was different than when I was about to have Lilly though.  With her, I think it was more just the 'unknown' of it all.  The labor, delivery and just being 'new' at all of it!  With Luke, I was anxious because I was scared I wouldn't know how be a mom to 2 kids?  Not to worry, I was all worked up for nothing!  Being a Mom of 2 kids just came natural I guess?  I will admit, having 2 is definately more work, but it's a good 'work'...a job that I wouldn't trade for ANYTHING!!!

Luke is a healthy baby boy who thrives in every way!  He has recently found that he LOVES "table food" and will whine if anyone else in the house is eating.  He also loves to play in his sister's room and 'bother' her (in Lilly's words).  I think he goes in and tries to make a mess as fast as he can (a pic of that will follow the post), then go on to another room!  Steve and I feel blessed in every way to have 2 healthy, happy children.  Not to mention adorable, with such happy-go-lucky personalities!

Thank you, Lucas, for these wonderful past 11 months.  We are so excited to see you keep growing (but not too fast, please)!

Such a happy boy!

Sharing a snack with Daddy (cheerios)...look at that little bird mouth!

Look at that mess!  Compliments of Lucas!
