PARK, DISCOVERY MUSEUM, ZOO

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER...

This post is a little late, but I have been keeping busy.  Last Tuesday was a very busy day!  It was Lilly's last day of her first year of preschool.  That was bittersweet.  It's so neat to watch her grow and have so much fun with her friends, but whew...I can't believe she's 4 and will be going to her last year of preschool next year!  Her class celebrated the last day at the park.  Steve took the day off (that NEVER happens), and I think Lilly was more excited about that then going to the park?  Since he was taking the day off for that, and her bday was Monday...we decided to make it a "day" filled with fun things to do.  After we went to the park, we grabbed some lunch and headed south.  We went to the Children's Discovery Museum.  It would've been more fun for just Lilly.  Luke doesn't really have the attention span for all that much of it, so we will take her again so just she can spend more time doing everything.  The 6 schools there for fieldtrips did NOT help matters either!  Gee, I tell ya...when a 4 year old is better behaved and shares better than 10 year olds...it's pretty sad!  Those kids were WILD, and when I say wild, I mean more wild than the animals at the next place we went...which was the zoo!  That was much better!  We were able to keep Luke contained in the stroller...which is just better for everyone!  It wasn't very busy...I think everyone must have been at the museum?  The kids were both pretty amazed with the zoo.  All of the animals cooperated and were out and about moving around.  The day was busy, but very fun-filled and we all had a great time :)
