Happy Valentine's Day to you all! The above picture is the valentine that Lilly had to do as "homework". So, today we had a pretty low key day, after a long first start to our weekend. I was putting the finishing touches on my in-law's (Steve's Dad & Step-mom) 25th wedding anniversary party. I was in charge of the decorations, party favors and getting the cupcakes etc. I was so nervous on how it was gonna all turn out! Friday evening, Steve and I went to a fabulous dinner with Steve's Mom & Step-dad. Steve's birthday is in November; right before Thanksgiving, and we had never been able to make our schedules arrange to be able to go, so we finally did! Then Saturday morning, Steve and I had our days made when we got the mail. We got a valentine from Lilly, that her teachers mailed from school. It immediately brought tears to my eyes! I loved it so much, I took a picture and text messaged it to Steve at work, he loved it too! Then I went on to the reception hall to decorate for the party. The party was Saturday evening, and I do think it was a great success?! Steve and I really admire them (and everyone else with long marriages). 25 years is a big accomplishment!!! So, big congrats to the "other" Mr. & Mrs. Craig!!! Now, today has been pretty uneventful. Steve worked all weekend. He can't pass up the opportunity for overtime, it really is a big help! I know he hates working so much (he hasn't had a day off in over a month), but I know he sacrifices, so that he knows that we are taken care of and so that I can be a stay-at-home Mommy! I spent most of the day cleaning. Obviously I have to stop periodically because the kids need something, or are getting into something. It's amazing how what would probably be a 2 hour cleaning job can take over 4! The highlight of the day was when the door bell rang...of course I answered it in my "comfy" cleaning clothes, my hair all clipped up with no make-up on...that had to have been a sight haha! Thank goodness it was nobody I knew...it was a flower delivery woman! My wonderful husband sent me a dozen BEAUTIFUL red roses! He's such a sweet man!!! Whew, was I REALLY glad that I was able to get the WHOLE house cleaned, so he could come home to a nice clean house after getting me those roses! Now we are just relaxing with the kids this evening. Steve went to pick us up some carry out dinner and that's pretty much it for the night! I hope everyone has had an enjoyable Valentine's Day?!!!
