This post may be boring for some? I guess with the weather being so cold, we haven't been doing a whole lot, but I feel like I don't do enough posts, so I am posting our day yesterday (Monday). Luke got up at 5:00am, which isn't unusual, but when he makes it 6:00, Mom is much better rested! Oh well, I had my coffee and got myself motivated, then cleaned the whole house and got caught up on most of the laundry! When sleeping beauty (Lilly) got up at her "
late" 6:15 (we were not blessed with kids that like to sleep) we had a "double snuggle". I love nothing more than when they both want to crawl up in my lap under the blanket and cuddle for a while! Lilly has always loved to cuddle. I think Luke will be a cuddler too? He also is at the stage where he likes to explore and get into EVERYTHING, so his cuddles are not as frequent as usual, but he comes to me all day long and wants up for a hug and kiss for about 1 minute, then he's off again! I made a big breakfast of pancakes (Lilly loves to help make them), cheesy eggs, sausage and yogurt w/ bananas. Then I continued cleaning up the house while the kids played. I could hear them both for a while, then noticed I only heard Lilly and hadn't heard Luke for about 10 minutes, which is VERY unusual! I not only hear him, but he usually tries to "help" (if I can call it that?) with everything I do! So when I didn't hear him, I went and looked in his room...he had taken his blanket that he has to hold when he sleeps, and curled up in the middle of the floor, in the middle of a bunch of toys and went to sleep! That is very unusual for him to that, but he did get up at 5:00, and has been teething, so I guess I'm not surprised. I felt bad that he was on the floor, and maybe I'm a bad mom for doing so (?), but I covered him up with a blanket, and left him there to sleep. If I tried to pick him up, he would have woke up, and he hates to be woke up! He slept there for about 30 mins, then out of his room he came, all smiles...just as happy as could be! The rest of the day consisted of playing doll house, pretend cooking at Lilly's kitchen (altough I think Luke has more fun than anyone), beauty shop...Lilly is a great stylist if anyone is looking for a new one haha! We read books, did 2 puzzles, played with the dogs, and while I finished up cleaning I turned on our satelite music channels and they danced (okay, so I danced a little too)! They LOVE that...Lilly asks to do it at least 5 times a day! Then it was lunch, naps, snack time, some more play time. Steve worked late, so just the kids and I had dinner. I tried a new recipe...Steve loves chicken fried chicken, but since I'm on a diet (I've lost 8 pounds woo hoo), so I grilled the chicken instead...It was quite yummy! I got them in the tub, then we got our jammies on by about 6:30. The kids wanted to watch Alice in Wonderland, so we did that while waiting for Steve to get home! Overall, it was a pretty productive day! It is like most of our days, but we love them! I have so much fun with my kids...they are the best little things and they bring me so much more joy than I could have ever dreamed possible!!!
How precious is that?
That mess he made must have wore him out?
Dance time!
Movie time...
My pretty girl!
Of course his attention span isn't very long...
he decided getting in the toy box was more fun!
