DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE

Hello all!

I know I'm a terrible blogger anymore, but with having 2 kiddos, a job, a home to take care of and my hubby now working lots of 12 & 16 hr shifts, I've made a conscience decision to back down on my computer time significantly.  So I guess I'm only posting the most important things we do (I guess our life isn't too exciting?)  I couldn't not post this one...

Steve took Lilly to a Daddy/Daughter dance at our local YMCA.  They both had the time of their lives!  Steve said he will forever remember their "first date" and the look of shear excitement on her face.  He said "her eyes sparkled all evening".  Lilly can be a bit shy, so I was worried about how much she would dance, or even worse if she wouldn't dance with her Daddy?  Boy, was I wrong...he said she danced the whole time and hardly ever took a break...and to my total excitement she danced with daddy both fast and slow dances.  I sooo wish I could've snuck in and had a peak, but I promised myself I wouldn't because I knew how important this was for them to have some of their own time!  I felt like the mother of a teen when she got home, taking all the pins out of her hair while she explained the night to me...she sounded so grown up!  We talked for over an hour before bedtime about the wonderful evening they had.  My favorite line she said was when she whispered in my ear, "Mommy I wish this night wouldn't have to ever end"  PRICELESS!!!

She got her hair done like a "big girl"

I couldn't resist getting her a corsage!

How excited does she look???!

All ready to go!!!
