MINI GETAWAY

We finally did it!  Steve and I finally went on a little getaway!  We haven't been on any kind of a vacation alone since 2002, when we went to Jamaica.  We decided the kids were old enough that we felt okay leaving them.  We missed them like crazy!  We left pretty early Saturday morning, and were home a little before lunch time yesterday (Sunday).  We contemplated going on Friday evening...but hey, I need baby steps here!  I think if we did that, we would've been coming home Saturday night?  We really did have a fabulous time though!  We stayed at the Delavan Lake Resort in Wisconsin.  It was super nice!  We even had a suite...with a private balcony, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, even a fireplace in the living room!  We went to an afternoon show Saturday at the "Dancing Horses Theatre".  They have a website, I totally recommend going there if you are in the area.  It's a great place for kids too, so we really are hoping to take our kids there this summer.  The things those trainers can get those horses to do is amazing!  They had an exotic bird show at the end too, it was pretty neat as well!  After that was over we headed to a place called "Pop More Corks".  It's an awesome place to taste, buy, and learn about wine.  We also had to do some spring clothes shopping for the kids!  I couldn't go home with nothing for them!  We had an amazing rest of the evening.  We had a really nice dinner...we both even had steak!  We relaxed the rest of the night at the resort, we never really get to relax, so that was cherished all in itself!  I'm so glad we did this, and definately think going on a little getaway is important for us and want to try to make it our goal to do it at least once a year?  All the places we went have websites, if any of you are looking for a little getaway that isn't all that expensive, I definately recommend everything we did!

Ready to go out on the town...

This woman/trainer/gymnast, was amazing...

They were both so graceful

I can't imagine the trust/bond you'd have to have
to pull this off.  Blurry because...
the horse was moving pretty fast.

Amazing how they actually train the horses to "dance"!
